Generosity in Times of Crisis

We explore how individuals across different countries responded during the COVID-19 pandemic

Understanding Global Generosity

We are a collaborative research group involving over 50 scholars from more than 20 countries, led by Professor Pamala Wiepking from the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Together, we seek to understand how generosity manifests around the globe, using inclusive, international, and multi-disciplinary perspectives.

Our signature project focuses on understanding the global generosity response during the COVID-19 crisis. The purpose of the research is to answer this overarching question:

  • How have generosity behaviors manifested and changed during the COVID-19 pandemic?

We will be publishing country reports and global comparisons on this site as they become available.
